I run an animal rescue by myself known as 'Furry Hearts" where I have saved many animals. I am also a foster parent for other animal rescue organizations (D.A.R.E.) and I have even been give the title “Hospice Mom” for taking animals in during their last days (Rusty & Andreas), also taking animals at their sickest state and with love and care nursing them back to health. When I got Toby he came in a wheelchair and when he got adapted he was running and chasing the other dogs, and Nina came with a bad skin problem where she required sulfur baths, that made her skin blister and bleed, but when she was adapted her coat was beautiful and shiny. I have has volunteered at the Human Society taking care of animals there, as well. I have two blind dogs, Molly and Ray Charles that would not be here if I did not rescue them. I have had many articles written in the Miami Harold newspaper, and in Mississippi, about what I do to help animals in need and help other non-for-profit organizations. The articles were all about, "Help Those That Cannot Help Themselves" which is Furry Hearts motto. I am an "Actress" where I have performed for a Homestead Main Street, at a “Tea Party” and City Church performing in “Who Killed the Roving Romeo of the Red Feather Investment Ladies”, this helped raise money for those organizations . I am also a "Pastry Chef”, I bake lavish 8" high cakes, pastries and makes delicious truffles, to make the money to help one animal at a time. I have baked cakes and made truffles for benefits such as, “Children with Disabilities”, Good Hope Equestrian Training Center, “Run for the Roses” and for “Patches” fundraising events here in Homestead. I have most recently raised money so that a Homestead K-9 police dog (Boomer) could receive a K-9 bullet proof vest. I have volunteered at the Homestead VFW Post and many hours at local retirement communities. I did appear for two years on CBS news in Columbus Mississippi for "Pets Without Partners" trying to get animals adapted. If you would need any further information, please contact me, at anytime.

Why should you adopt?
Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
