Ohio Pet Placement Foundation, Inc.
About Our Rescue Group
The Founder of Ohio Pet Placement Foundation began rescuing and finding homes for pets as far back as 2000 and went to work full time with a local animal rescue in 2004. Seeing how much needs to be done paired with the desire to save helpless pets everywhere, officially incorporated Ohio Pet Placement Foundation in November 2005. Ohio Pet Placement Foundation is a non profit 501(c)(3) organization.
Not only will Ohio Pet Placement house and home pets in need, we will work side by side with other rescue groups (Both Private and Government) to aid in the rescue of any pet in need. Every humane organization dreams of the day when cruelty to animals will be eliminated and the needless killing of homeless animals will have ended.
We are dedicated to relieving animal suffering and putting an end to animal cruelty, in all forms. We want to educate people about awareness and the responsibility of pet ownership. Those of us involved in animal rescue believe that many people are unaware of inhumane practices and the suffering that many animals are forced to endure.
No one likes to talk about pain, suffering, and death, but change can't take place unless the facts are presented to the public.
Together we can make a difference!
Come Meet our Pets
Our pets can be seen daily at the Adoption Center within The Animal House at 2555 North Ridge Rd E, Lorain, next to Puskas Party Center.
Our Adoption Process
We have an application/agreement with every pet that we place. Our standard adoption donation is $250 for adults and $400 for puppies, this includes spay or neuter, age appropriate vaccines, and whatever care is necessary to get the pet ready and cared for until a forever home is found.
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and you'll
have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting
a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats
for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs
and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of
dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed
is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten
breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat
or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt
a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane
society or pet rescue group.
