OUR MISSION STATEMENT Cavy Care Inc. will work to providing proper care for guinea pigs entrusted into to us. We will take guinea pigs no matter their age, condition or demeanor. We will work to improve their health, provide long term health care for the rest of their natural life where needed, working with behaviors or place them in our adoptable sanctuary program with in Cavy Care.. Cavy Care Inc will not turn away a guinea pig because they are handicapped, hurt, or unadoptable. No animal will be euthanized unless it is a question of quality of life. Cavy Care Inc. is a true no kill alternative for private owners area shelters. A goal is education dispelling many of the misconceptions surrounding guinea pigs, their behavior and care. Cavy Care Inc in order to keep overhead low to non-existing operates out of the founders home. This insures little or not overhead. All staff members of CCI are unpaid volunteers. They believe in a cause and offer their time. We believe that you can make a living by what you make, a life by what you give.
Come Meet our Pets:
Adoptons are conducted by appointment so as to insure that all questions are answered and the adopter walks away confident and with the animal that meets their expectations. Our shelter is located in SE Aurora Colorado.
Our Adoption Process:
We have a preadoption form, followed by an adoption form. Adoption Fees are $25 for a single guinea pig. $45 for a pair, there is a free vet exam with every adoption.
Why should you adopt?
small animals can make wonderful pets, and rather than buying a small animal for sale or finding a small animal breeder, adopting a small animal from
an animal shelter or rescue organization is the perfect way to add a small animal to your family.
Keep in mind, there is a lot you will need to know when you provide a home for
a small animal. You will need to learn what to feed them, how much exercise or
attention your small animal needs, and many other important things about how to
house and care for a small animal. There are different types of small animals
including Chinchilla, Degu, Ferret, Gerbil, Guinea Pig, Hamster, Hedgehog, Mouse, Prairie Dog, Rat, Skunk, and Sugar Glider.
Pet adoption saves lives. Adopt a pet and you'll have a friend for life! Please consider a rescue pet before you buy a pet from a breeder or pet store. Contact us, or contact another local humane society, animal shelter or SPCA.
