We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties: Summit County Friends of Animals (FOA) is a non-profit animal rescue group based in Park City, UT. FOA is comprised of staff and volunteers dedicated to assisting our 2 local shelters, Summit County and Heber City, as well as other shelters throughout the state to find loving and permanent homes for abandon animals.
SC Friends of Animals
About Our Rescue Group
Founded in 1990, FOA was just a small group of animal lovers lobbying for a new shelter facility. Today, we are a full-fledged animal rescue and rehabilitation organization with an adoption center (Furburbia), dedicated staff and board of trustees and a new 15,000 sq. ft. state-of-the art facility currently under construction on over 100 acres located in Summit County, UT.
Come Meet our Pets
Once our shelter animals are vaccinated, microchipped, and spay or neutered they are taken to our adoption center, Furburbia. Furburbia is a happy place where dogs and cats can meet their potential new families in private rooms and take them for a walks. Furburbia is located in suite B-103 in the Tanger Outlet Mall located in Park City, Utah. We are open Tuesday -Sunday from noon until 6:00 PM.
Our Adoption Process
Our adoption fees are as follows: dogs $115, puppies 12 weeks and under $125, cats $95 and kittens 12 weeks and under $105. A small price to pay for a lifetime of unconditional love. You must be at least 18 years of age to adopt an animal at Furburbia, if you are under 25 years and do not own a home, a lease or rental agreement must be supplied stating you are allowed to have pets.
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and you'll
have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting
a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats
for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs
and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of
dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed
is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten
breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat
or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt
a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane
society or pet rescue group.
