Currently we take in most of our pups/dogs from Chester County. However our adoptions are open to all counties/cities.

About Our Rescue Group:

Loving Paws is a 501(c)3 that was formed in 2005 to help the abandoned dogs of Chester County. We receive some of our pups/kittens as a result of mothers having unwanted litters. One of the conditions of helping these pups/kittens is having the mother spayed. We work to help offset the cost of the spaying and even help with the neutering of the dads if needed. We also receive pups/kittens/dogs/cats that have just been abandoned or dumped on the side of the road. In the City of Henderson we pull pups as many as we can from our kill shelter and have assisted surrounding counties (when room is availalbe) with pulling from their kill shelters. There is a seemingly unending supply of unwanted puppies/dogs and of course kittens/cats.

Come Meet our Pets:

We participate in adoption events at Petsmart and Petco in Jackson, TN. If you would like to meet one of our pets just send an email and we would be happy to arrange a meeting.

Our Adoption Process:

An adoption appplication is required to start the process. Application can be obtained by emailing muffin4vols@aol.com. We have several adoption coordinators who process the applications and they will contact by you and your vet. We ask that if you currently have a vet to contact them and let them know we will be doing a reference check and to release the information. Personal references are also required. Our adoption fee is $400 (this includes any tranportation fee & interstate health certificate required). All of our animals are up to date on shots, spayed/neutered, on heartworm preventions, and flea protection.

Upon adoption approval we will require you to sign an adoption contract.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
