Pets at Our Rescue Group:

Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

Entire State of Wisconsin, We have horses from Alabama, Illinois, and Iowa.

About Our Rescue Group:

My husband & I started rescuing horses when we went to our first auction in Iowa and stumbled across a "kill pen". I bought a 3 year old mare with a 3 week old filly by her side on her way to the slaughter house and my husband bought a welsh pony. It started there and I could never imagine what we have seen though out the years to come - the neglect, the starved, beaten, abandoned, horses without the spirit they were born with. They had lost their will to survive. When I see that spirit back in their eyes - I know I've done my job and that horse is now complete.

Come Meet our Pets:

1 miles west of Janesville on Highway 11, Turn west on Murphy Road (by the Bass Creek Golf Course) and continue to the end of the road abut a mile to the T. Turn left on Old 11 and we are the 1st place on the left.

Our Adoption Process:

First come and spend some time at the barn and get to know the horses and see if you meet your soul mate! You must then first fill out an adoption application and pay a non-refundable fee. If all requirements are met then comes the adoption contract and the adoption fee which varies with the horse you decide to adopt - usually from $200 to $1000.

Why should you adopt?

horses can make wonderful pets, and rather than buying a horse for sale or finding a horse breeder, adopting a horse from an animal shelter or rescue organization is the perfect way to add a horse to your family. Keep in mind, there is a lot you will need to know when you provide a home for a horse. You will need to learn what to feed them, how much exercise or attention your horse needs, and many other important things about how to house and care for a horse. There are different types of horses including Andalusian, Appaloosa, Appendix, Arabian, Belgian, Clydesdale, Curly Horse, Donkey/Mule/Burro/Hinny, Draft, Friesian, Gaited, Grade, Gypsy Vanner, Haflinger, Lipizzaner, Miniature, Missouri Foxtrotter, Morgan, Mustang, Norwegian Fjord, Paint/Pinto, Palomino, Paso Fino, Percheron, Peruvian Paso, Pony - Chincoteague, Pony - Connemara, Pony - Dales, Pony - Dartmoor, Pony - Fell, Pony - New Forest, Pony - Other, Pony - Shetland, Pony - Welsh, Pony - of America, Quarterhorse, Rocky Mountain, Saddlebred, Standardbred, Tennessee Walking Horse, Thoroughbred, Trakhener, and Warmblood.
