About Our Rescue Group

We are a small non-kill shelter that saves dogs from high-kill shelters here in the Dallas/Fort Worth area and Nationwide.
The dogs we rescue are brought to our shelter, 4 Toes Up. They are then evaluated and await to be place into their forever home.
We love all dogs and believe that no animal should be put down because of a space problem.
Our main focus is the larger breed of dogs such as Pit Bulls, Am Bulls, Boxers, Bulloxers and English Bulldogs.
We are not breed specific but our rescue efforts are more towards the ones that we feel need the most help such as the Pit Bull.

Our Adoption Process

Here at 4 Toes Up, we work off of donations. Our adoption fee is $125 which covers all shots, spay or neuter, heartworm test, and microchip. We do require an adoption application and contract. Special care will be taken in placing Pit Bulls.

What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
