About Our Rescue Group:

Grove City Area Pet Rescue is a no-kill. non-profit pet rescue in North Western PA. We take in homeless dogs and cats from Grove City and surrounding communities. All of our rescue pets are spayed and neutered prior to adoption. We feel it is just as important to have dogs and cats altered as it is to find them homes.

Come Meet our Pets:

All perspective adopters must fill out an application and have it approved before they can come and meet the animals. Hours are by appointment.

Our Adoption Process:

We require that people fill out an application. If the application is approved, then the person is permitted to see the animal(s). The adoption fees start at $60 for cats and $100 for dogs. All of our animals are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, dewormed and treated for fleas. Cats are tested for FIV/FeLV and dogs over 1 year of age are tested for heartworms. All people adopting from Grove City Area Pet Rescue must sign a contract at the time of adoption. All animals must be returned to the rescue if someone cannot keep them.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
