We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties: We are located in South Central Kentucky but have adopted pets to all locations. We have dogs in Texas, Vermont, Connecticut, Indiana, Ohio and all places in between. If you are out of state transportation can be arranged.

About Our Rescue Group

Sugarfoot Farm is located on 115 acres in Columbia, Kentucky. When we moved to Kentucky we planned on continuing our horse breeding business as well as Australian Cattle Dog Rescue as we had done in Connecticut. Originally we rescued only ACD's but found it hard to say no to the other innocent faces pressed against the pens. So we opened up our rescue to all breeds and became SUGARFOOT FARM RESCUE, INC.

Our mission is to adopt animals in danger and provide for their health concerns. Our goal is to place all rescued animals into good homes.

Before an animal is adopted, they each receive a health exam, shots, wormer, and are either spayed or neutered.

Once an animal is safe and healthy, they are adopted out to families that will provide good homes for them.

We love our pets and want to adopt them out to people who will love them as much as we do!

Our Adoption Process

We do not have a set adoption fee and ask you for a reasonable donation that you are comfortable with. Please consider the fact that our dogs are vaccinated and spayed/neutered before they are adopted, This is all done at our expense. Plus in addition pets adopted through Sugarfoot Farm Rescue are microchipped for a low one time fee of $10. So consider our costs before deciding on your donation amount. You can't put a price on love

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
