We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties: We are starting a animal shelter in White County. We are only taking in animals from the city and county animal control. They pick up the stray animals and take them to the veternarians. If the veternarians deem them adoptable they come to us!!
Happy Tails Animal Care Center
About Our Shelter
We are a no-kill animal shelter for our county. We only take in animals from the city and county animal control because if they are found they are taken to the vet. Before the vets would hold them 3-5 days. If the owners did not claim them they would be put down. Because of our shelter that has changed. The vets still hold them the 3-5 days, but they are not put down if the vet deams them adoptable. They are checked for certain diseases, vaccinated, and brought to us. We put them on a one week quarentine to check for illness, temperment, and to get them used to the new environment. If it wasn't for us alot of these animals would be put down. We are their second chance to a real home and that's why we do it. We are their voices when they cannot speak.

Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and you'll
have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting
a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats
for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs
and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of
dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed
is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten
breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat
or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt
a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane
society or pet rescue group.
