Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:HOPE takes in animals that have been abandoned, abused or injured, give them the medical attention they require, and re-home them through adoption. HOPE does not take animals in from the general public, but rather ones that meet the above criteria, or are on death row at the humane societies or animal shelters
About Our Rescue Group:H.O.P.E. (Help Orphaned Pets through Education) Safehouse, Inc. is a non-profit, all volunteer animal care organization, a ‘safehouse’ dedicated to the care and re-socialization of lost, injured, neglected, and abandoned pets. Through education and example, we extend the qualities of safety, shelter and compassion to all animals under our care, in our homes, on the streets and in the wild. We offer them HOPE.
Come Meet our Pets:We are located at 1911 Taylor Avenue, approximately 1 mile north of Durand Avenue (Highway 11) in Racine, Wisconsin.
Operating hours are:

Our Adoption Process:All our canines are in foster home, so if you come to our office to see them . . . there won't be any here. You must first fill out an application before we can connect you with the foster mom & dad. Some of our available pets have a restricted adoption radius of approximately 75 miles in Wisconsin; less in Illinois. If you live outside this area, please visit a shelter or rescue closer to your area. If you are interested in adopting one of our critters and you are not in the Racine, WI area, it is advisable to send in the application quickly. This is particularly important when applying for puppies as they are adopted very quickly. Please note that we approve adoption applications on a first come first serve basis. There is a 24 hour processing time on all adoptions. You can find an application on our home page www.hopesafehouse.org . This application can be sent by e-mail, fax or the postal service.
