About Our Shelter:

The Mission of Fayetteville Animal Protection Society, Inc. (FAPS) is to provide a licensed North Carolina No-Kill Shelter for Owner-surrenders for a small fee, and to rescue animals from the Kill shelters in our area. We also care for these rescues and provide medical treatment if needed, until they are adopted into a loving and caring lifetime environment. FAPS believes in Spaying & Neutering to reduce the population of stray animals, and to promote responsible pet ownership.
FAPS is a 501(c)(3) organizatrion and donations of any kind are tax deductible!
FAPS is now part of the Combined Federal Campaign, Please refer to CFC Code 46693 when making a Donation.

Our Adoption Process:

Our Policy
The whole family has to come do a Meet and Greet including other pets of the houshold, Also if you rent you will need a letter from the Landlord stating that you are allowed a pet and that the pet deposit has been paid.
There is an Adoption Contract to fill out,

Cash or Credit
Dogs are $150.00
Cats are $90.00
You will receive a copy of all Medical forms for the pet of your choice at time of Adoption.
All of our Dogs and Cats are Spayed/Neutered, Have their Rabies Shots, on Heartworm Preventives, updated on Vaccinations.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
