About Our Rescue Group
4PAWS Rescue is a small network of foster homes and volunteers who want to help the dogs in our community stay out of shelters. We hope to provide our adopters with the most well socialized, healthiest pets possible, and feel that in foster care, we can better meet those goals.

Our Adoption Process
If you find a dog that might be the right one for you, please fill out an application. The Board of Directors will review it to make sure it is a good match. If so, you can come meet the dog, we will meet you, and everyone will decide if it is the right fit. Most dogs are available for adoption fees of $125.00 or less. You must sign a contract promising basic care and training, and you may not sell or abandon the dog. All dogs are neutered and current on vaccinations at the time of adoption.

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
