Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

Our shelter is located in Youngstown, Ohio, but we work in connection with other shelters located throughout Mahoning and Trumbull counties to save cats facing euthanasia and/or being removed from dangerous/abusive situations.

About Our Shelter:

The Cat Ladies Society is a no-kill shelter located in Youngstown, Ohio dedicated to helping the cats that have nowhere else to go. Many of our cats and kittens are special needs cats with physical handicaps, seniors or dietary requirements.

We also help out local humane societies with cats who have been removed from dangerous or abusive situations.

We frequently receive calls from local shelters that have a great, very adoptable cat but no room to house it. We save those cats and kittens from euthanasia and find them wonderful new homes.

VOLUNTEER AT THE CAT LADIES SOCIETY
Volunteers are always needed, 7 days a week. If you are interested in volunteering during adoption hours, simply visit the shelter to start. A set schedule is not required. Whether you have one hour per month or several hours per day available, we need you! If you are interested in volunteering in the morning, please email thecatladiessociety@yahoo.com with your availability. Parents, your children are always welcome to volunteer with you at The Cat Ladies Society. No matter what your age or skill level, there is some way you can help.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.

Humane America Animal Foundation, dba Adopt-a-Pet.com, is a non-profit, tax-deductible 501(c)(3) adoption advertising charity. Our mission (and passion) is to help get homeless pets out of the shelters and into loving homes. Let us know what you think! Suggestion & Comment Box
