Primarily we serve only the WI area as we are located between Madison and Milwaukee; but we do take in dogs from other areas where space permits us to do so.

About Our Rescue Group:

We have more than a decade of experience in placing deserving German Shepherd dogs in good homes. We match the dog to your lifestyle, experience and living situations. The dogs are looking for forever homes and we do require that everyone in the family meets the prospective adoptee at least once (this includes other dogs in your 'family') All dogs are in foster care in our own homes for several weeks prior to them being offered for adoption so that we can see the various behaviors they may exhibit. Whatever we know about the dogs, you will know. We are looking for permanent homes for our dogs and want to make sure we facilitate the best match possible for both you and the dog.

Our Adoption Process:

You must fill out an application before you are eligible to meet any ARF dogs. The application is the first step to every successful adoption! Adoption donation requests start at $125 for senior dogs and go up from there. All dogs are temperament tested, evaluated, up to date on vaccinations and spayed/neutered prior to adoption.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
