About Our Rescue Group:We are a group of enthusiastic volunteers who are dedicated to build a new animal shelter in Midland County.
The Humane Society of Midland County is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization.
To build an adoption-friendly animal shelter that will unify the community toward a common goal of responsible animal treatment and increased animal adoptions; to design and incorporate new education and public programs that will enrich the lives of residents and animals alike, enabling Midland County to be an innovative leader in responsible and humane animal treatment.
The HSOMC has a small foster program and is only rescuing pets from Midland Animal Control when their time has run out at the shelter. However, we will accept an emailed picture and description of the pet you need to place in a new home or a pet you have lost or found.
Be sure to include your phone number and the best time we can reach you. Someone will contact you within 48 hours.
Come Meet our Pets:We are at Petsmart in Midland, MI every 2 weeks. We will post on the pets the date and time each pet will be there. If you would like to meet one of our pets please e-mail or call us.
Our Adoption Process:If you are interested in a pet please e-mail us asking for an adoption application with the name of the animal you are interested in.
To be an approved to adopted from us, you must have a vet reference and show that you are a responsible pet owner. If you are a first time pet owner and don't have a vet yet, please put down a close friend or family member as your reference.
If you are an approved home the adoption fee's as followed:
Kittens & Cats not altered: $75 plus a pre-pay spay/neutered at adopter's vet
Cats altered: $110
Puppies and Dogs not altered: $150 plus a pre-pay spay/neutered at the adopter's vet
Dogs altered: $200
All animals adopted are up to date on all vaccinations.
