1 on1 Foster & Rescue
About Our Rescue Group
1 on 1 Foster & Rescue is a home based rescue who takes in dogs on a case by case basis specializing in adult giant breed dogs who I find have the hardest time finding rescues and foster homes. I put my 20+ years of rescuing, fostering, and adopting my own pets into taking in animals, getting them physically & mentally healthy, basic obedience trained, and adjusted to an indoor family lifestyle which makes them much more adoptable as a pet than a sick, scared, untrained, outside pet that someone's trying to bring into their home as a family member. I train dogs and will help all I can with any follow up to help your new pet adjust to your home and family and will give you any tips I have for how to help your particular pet adjust easiest to your home which I find helps ease transitions from my home to yours.
Our Adoption Process
I do home visits prior to adoptions and will also have you visit the pet in my home where they have become comfortable. I do everything possible to ensure that the pet and the family are a good match and that they will be happy together for the long haul. Adoption fees vary between animals due to the vast variety of expenses depending on the pet's circumstances. I do have all new owners bring a pet id tag with them at the time of pet pick up so that the pet has proper id when it arrives at it's new home. You will also be asked to sign an adoption contract that covers the care and upkeep of the pet. Beyond that if you have any questions feel free to call and I would be happy to talk with you more.
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and
you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog
or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes.
Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they
think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from
a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage
people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA,
humane society or pet rescue group.
