You must complete an adoption application and criminal background check ( you need only be free from animal cruelty, abuse, neglect charges), then you must pass a home inspection that the home is safe, clean, and large enough for the animal, landlord approval is required. Then you meet and interact with the animal if all goes well you get to take them home. Dogs are required to successfully complete a 6 week obedience, problem solving and socialization class provided for free. That is a separate contract that you must show up each week and your dog must be able to do the behaviors asked without too much assistance.

We were started by a 15 year old girl in 2000. We are run out of foster homes. All of our animals are spayed and neutered, vaccinated, and de-wormed before adoption. Younger puppies and kittens may be adopted on a spay or neuter contract to prevent health problems. All animals are examined by veterinary technician staff to ensure their health. cats are tested for FIV/FELV before being allowed out of quarantine 2 negative tests 3 weeks apart are required before the cat is put up for adoption.
