Tiny Loving Canines (TLC)
About Our Rescue Group
We are a small rescue located in Southern California and dedicated to the rescue and placement of our dogs in furever homes, specializing in small dog breeds (only). We believe in positive reinforcement training and techniques and do our very best to insure your new family member is a perfect fit for your lifestyle.
We try to uncover each dog's behavioral issues or lack of training, remedy the issues that caused these dogs to arrive in the shelter system and teach them good canine behaviors so each placement will be a 'furever' one.
Come Meet our Pets
We hold weekly adoptions at the PETCO in Moorpark from noon to 3PM.
Our Adoption Process
All of our tiny, loving canines are kept in family environments in foster homes while searching for their very own 'furever' home. We rehabilitate the dogs(mentally and physically), spay/neuter as needed, microchip and make sure they are up-to-date on all required vaccinations. Basic dog obedience is encouraged with positive reinforcement techniques. If someone is interested in one of our darlings, an adoption application must be filled out (it is also online) and submitted. A home visit is arranged and an introduction to other family pets is completed before adoption is approved.
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and
you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog
or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes.
Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they
think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from
a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage
people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA,
humane society or pet rescue group.
