The Queenie Foundation is an animal rights organization that offers several services to the public. Our main office is in Manchester, CT where we table at events in the Hartford county area to promote kindness to all animals, offer a spay/neuter service to low income dogs and cats and coordinate International Homeless Animals' Day.

Our Vice President lives in TX and coordinates our rescue/adoption program and works with low income families and individuals to get their animals spayed or neutered.

We are commited to assisting the public and offering information and services that will serve them and the animals who share their lives. We also promote eating a vegan diet and living a cruelty-free lifestyle and offer a program called Compassion for Animals which is focused at children and adolsescents to interrupt the animal abuse/child abuse/adult violent behavior link.

Queenie is a dog who the founder rescued in 1995. The organization is named after her because she represented all the animals who need our love and care.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
