About Our Shelter:SAVE, A Friend to Homeless Animals is a 501(c)3 nonprofit private shelter dedicated to protecting the health and welfare of companion animals in the greater Princeton region. Through our six core programs of Rescue, Shelter, Adoption, Health and Welfare, Spay/Neuter and Humane Education, SAVE strives to substantially reduce animal overpopulation and the corresponding euthanasia of adoptable and treatable animals in our community. SAVE endeavors to build, foster and strengthen the human-animal bond.
Come Meet our Pets:Please visit our shelter Tuesday - Saturday, 12pm - 6pm, Sunday 12-4pm; Mondays we are closed.
Our Adoption Process:If you are interested in adopting one of our pets, you must first complete and submit an adoption application. Your application will be processed by shelter staff. This process can take 2-3 days. When you are notified of application approval, we will schedule a time for you to pick up your newest family member. Our adoption fees are as follows:
Adult dogs - $200
Puppies - $300
Pure Breeds - TBD
Adult Cats - $100
Kittens - $150
Adoption fees include Rabies, Yearly boosters, deworming, heartworm or leukemia/FIV testing and spay or neuter.
