About Our Rescue Group
I unfortunately learned the hard way. My first dog as an adult came from a pet store. She is a puppy mill dog. She is great and required quite a bit of training. This opened up my eyes to the puppy mill industry and how our government sees dogs as agricultural animals. I decided with my passion for saving children and animals I would become a dog trainer. Once I had practice I decided there are so many dogs that need homes and I am lucky enough to live out my passion. I decided to start saving dogs. Now I save all animals. They get a great start with my training. I love my life, my job, and my rescue. I am blessed and so are the animals that get to live here.

Requirements For Adoption:
Fill out an application form on our website http://www.4thedogsrescue.org We will set up a time for you to visit with the animal. We will then set up a home visit. Preferably with the adoptable dog (we don't do this with cats), coming with us. We do veterinarian checks and one personal reference check of someone who is not a member of your family. You agree to our contract and a minimum of 2 follow up home visits within 90 days of adoption. All fees are considered a donation. You have 10 days to request your donation back. All checks will not be cashed until that time is up. You are required to sign a contract. Part of that contract stipulates that we are allowed follow up home visits and if the adoption did not work out the animal would be returned to 4 The Dogs Rescue. Dogs (varies depending on vetting bills) $175.00 - $350.00 Cats (varies on vet bills, most are the low price range, it would only be a special needs cat that would cost more) $60.00 - $150.00 Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group. |
