We Serve the Following Cities, Towns, and/or Counties: Tier Haven Rescue is a nonprofit organization dedicated to saving the lives of unwanted dogs in the Bluegrass area of Kentucky. Tier Haven Rescue takes dogs from death row at local animal shelters, and provides them safe haven on their journey to forever homes. Tier Haven Rescue is a rescue organization which was founded out the need to provide animals the opportunity to rehabilitate and train in vital social skills that make them an asset in families and communities. Since its inception, the organization has been striving to be a key player in animal rescue, rehabilitation, and relocation. We believe that the goal to eliminate unnecessary euthanasia is one that is attainable in our lifetime. However, it will only be attained through concerted efforts of communities and rescues each dedicated to the many causes of unnecessary euthanasia. Tier Haven Rescue has two main purposes: to provide temporary housing to displaced animals while providing them with intensive rehabilitation in the form of social skills training as well as physical recovery, and to provide educational classes to the public in an ongoing effort to stop animal neglect, abuse, and perpetuation of the perception of animals as a “disposable commodity”.

About Our Rescue Group

As a non-profit organization, we rely on donations to help us with the needs of the animals, which would include transportation of new rescues, vet care, and durable goods such as crates, dog food, collars, leashes, paper towels, cleaning products. if you would like to make a tax-deductible donation please contact us.

Our Adoption Process

We have an adoption application, once your application is approved then we can arange a "meet and greet" with the dog of your choice.
If you like the dog and want to try it then we allow a "10 day trial" where you can see if the newest member of your family will get along.
There is a contract outlining the basic's, are biggest things is that if for any reason you cannot keep your Tier Haven dog it comes back to us.
The adoption fee for dogs is $200 and includes spay or neuter, shots, rabies, and 2 follow-up training lessons.

When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
