Areas Midwest Animal Rescue Service of Illinois serves

We travel across IL, MO, TN and KY to help animals in need .

We strive to provide the best care for the animals in our program, and we include MORE in our adoption fees than many small, no-kill rescues.

WHEN CONSIDERING ADOPTION, please check into what is included in the adoption fees. We hold all animals in our care for a minimum of 21 days to properly screen for health conditions, and to provide as much pre-adoption care as possible.

Additional adoption info

Step 1: Complete your online adoption application at www.DogsFromMars.net.

Step 2: Get your application's status in your email within 1 business day.

Step 3: As long as your application is approved, you will be able to place an available animal on reservation for our upcoming event.

You are, of course, welcome to attend any event without a reservation to meet available animals, but a reservation will guarantee that a specific pet will be held for you for the event. Event details can always be found at www.DogsFromMars.net.

Our puppy adoption fee includes: ALL 3 puppy shots, at least three rounds of deworming medication, fecal testing (parasite screening), two tests for Canine Parvovirus, microchipping, along with a Free exam and 50% spay/neuter discount through our partner vet, Arnett Animal Hospital in Wheeling, IL, or Animal Hospital at the Crossing in Champaign, IL.

Our adoption fees are specified in the description of each animal, along with what is included in the fee (everything that is included has already been done by the time the pet attends the event).

About Midwest Animal Rescue Service of Illinois

Midwest Animal Rescue Service (MARS) is a NO-KILL, state-licensed organization (IL Dept. of Agriculture #13839) that finds loving homes for as many animals in need as possible. The animals in our program were rescued from either high-kill facilities (where animals are in danger of being put to sleep), or neglectful owners that are not providing proper care to their pets.

WHEN CONSIDERING ADOPTION, please check into what is included in the adoption fees. We hold all animals in our care for a minimum of 21 days to properly screen for health conditions, and to provide as much pre-adoption care as possible.

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Champaign, IL.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
