The Winnsboro Animal Shelter is a City Municipal facility. We pick up strays, lost and abandoned animals and do our very best at finding their homes or finding them new loving and forever homes.The Winnsboro Animal Shelter is committed to finding homes for lost or abandoned animals. Winnsboro Animal Shelter is open Monday through Friday 8 am to 4 pm.

The City of Winnsboro is located in Northeast Texas. Our crossroads are Hwy 37 and Hwy 11. We are 15 miles South of Mt. Vernon, Texas, 25 miles East of Sulphur Springs, Texas, 22 miles West of Pittsburg, Texas, and 15 miles North of Quitman, Texas. We are only 60 miles North of Tyler.

Our Adoption Process:

The Winnsboro Animal Shelter requires that our pets leave with a Rabies Vaccination and a signed Adoption Agreement. If the Adoptee resides within the City Limits of Winnsboro, a City License is also required. We would like to see our pets placed into a loving home that has a fenced yard.
