8 C's Big Dog Rescue,INC
About Our Rescue Group
We are a group of dedicated volunteers . 8 c's has no shelter site only foster homes. We rescue large breed dogs and their mixes from kill shelters. Large breed dogs, especially those that are mix breeds are euthanized more often than pure breeds or small dogs.
Come Meet our Pets
We are at Petsmart at the Rivercity Marketplace every Saturday, and the 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month.
Our Adoption Process
The adoption fee is usually $125.00. This might increase depending on how much vet care we have put into the dog. The adoption process starts with an application, an interview by one of 8 C's representatives, then a home check. We require picture ID with current address. Also a veterinary reference is a must. Since we specialize in large dogs apartments are usually not permitted, but we will asess this on a case by case basis. Same case with fences, depending on the breed a fence is usually a must have!
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and
you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog
or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes.
Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they
think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from
a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage
people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA,
humane society or pet rescue group.
