Apple Canyon Critters Rescue
About Our Rescue Group
Our rescue is comprised of people who consider animals to be friends and family members. Some of our members are young, some elderly. Our organization firmly believes without reservation, and this includes all members, that animals are sentient, intelligent and have souls. We believe that all animals share rights in common with man. We view the relationship between man and animal to be one of human guardianship much like a parent to child. Within this framework, all adopters must agree that they are merely guardians over the animal that they adopt and not owners.

Our major concern is the appropriate placement of good tempered, family oriented, community oriented animals into suitable life long homes. To this end we encourage the application of stable people who feel the need for and the desire to find a life long friend, a soul with whom they will spend much of their lives. We view the adoption process to be a discovery process where you, the potential life long guardian for the adopted soul, discover what you are looking for and where the adopted soul finds peace and a good life. Many of friends who are in need of homes have never had a gentle touch or a clean or well lighted place in which to live; they have never been cared for by any person very much and love and understanding are vital to a positive adoptive outcome. Without doubt, our homeless souls will love without reserve; our concern is whether you will love them without reserve.

Come Meet our Pets
We will be conducting adoption events in the spring and summer. We set up meet and greet opportunities on the weekends most the time since our adoptable animal friends are in foster homes and not in a kennel or shelter. However, at all times we will set up meeting with our homeless friends after you have completed an application and have been approved to adopt by our organization.
Our Adoption Process
The adoption process begins with an application that can be obtained by emailing or by going to our home site. You will be required to have references and may be asked to allow a home visit before you will be offered the opportunity to adopt. Adoption is a very serious matter and the review and consideration of an application takes great effort so please do not take the submission of an application or the application process lightly. You should reasonably expect to wait at minimum 3 days before you receive any word on any application that you may submit. If you have already completed an application that you have submitted to another rescue you may send that application to us and it will be considered with supplement by our organization. You can receive more information on our adoption process by emailing us or reviewing our main site. The adoption fee varies somewhat so email for adoption fees. All adopted friends must be spayed/neutered by the adoptive party if not already altered before adoption. Adoption fees range between $250.00 and $400.00.

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
