F.O.R. RESCUE (FRIENDS OF RETRIEVERS RESCUE) - Windham, NH
About Our Rescue Group
We are a non profit group consisting of 4 women who are devoted to saving shelter dogs that are in danger of euthanasia. Rural Kentucky, Georgia, Alabama and Tennessee shelters have a constant overflow of dogs, little funding, and limited space. Once the dogs arrive at the shelter, they have very little time. It is our goal to help save these adoptable dogs and adopt them out to loving families in the New England area. Although our priorities are the retriever breeds, we are not limiting ourselves to retrievers because we know that there are many great dogs that need our help.
Our Adoption Process
Our dogs are mainly fostered in Tennessee and Alabama in one of our many experienced foster homes. We have many wonderful dogs looking for homes! All of them are completely vetted and neutered/spayed (if age appropriate) and on heartworm and flea prevention. All of our dogs come with complete medical records. Their adoption fee of $425 covers their complete age appropriate vetting and heartworm/flea preventative, as well as their transportation to your area.
Our rescue doesn't have an actual shelter building in the New England area. Due to this it is not possible to meet them prior to their adoption. Our dogs are brought up to their new owners weekly! Our transport service is certified through the USDA. We have a 14 day no questions asked money back guarantee and the dog can be returned to us if things don't work out. We try hard to get good matches in our homes so that everyone has a happy life together!
We currently volunteer for other rescues and can provide references if requested. Please e-mail us for an application or information at forrescuetn@gmail.com
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and
you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog
or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes.
Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they
think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from
a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage
people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA,
humane society or pet rescue group.
