About Our Rescue Group:

We are a licensed rescue facility here in southwest Missouri. We rescue dogs primarily from puppy mills, dog auctions, and homeless situations. They are temperament tested as to suitaility with kids, cats and other dogs. They are checked by a vet to make sure they are healthy. We have been involved in Rescue work and shelter work since 1971.

Come Meet our Pets:

We are located between Joplin and Springfield, Missouri. We are open by appointment only.

Our Adoption Process:

Our adoption fees are based on the age, breed, condition and training of the dogs. Generally, younger dogs are $200-$300. Adult dogs are between $150-$250. Seniors are less. Dogs who have been here more than 6 months are also discounted in many instances to help them find a home. Trained dogs are more. Our dogs are all seen by a vet at intake then are spayed and neutered as soon as possible. For out of state placements, we will need a veterinary reference.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
