Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:
In Arkansas: Faulkner County, City of Conway, Mayflower, Mt. Vernon, Enola, Morrilton, Vilonia and Greenbriar. We serve the New England States as well as Arkansas, Oklahoma, Texas, Ks, Mo, Ms, Al, and La. We are open to adoptions throughout the U.S and utilize the services of Alpha Dog Transport for transporting our out of state adopted dogs, when available.
We have been animal advocates all of our lives. We have been breeders and trainers of dogs and horses. We have never been able to stand by and watch an animal suffer. I suppose our Founder and CEO being a Native American and having such a love for all creatures is part of why we do what we do. We do it because no dog has a choice in where they live or who they live with and a lot of people don't understand the life commitment these animals deserve. We are a NO KILL Shelter/Rescue and consequently our dogs must meet strict standards to become part of our programs. First and foremost they must be of Pet Quality.
Come Meet our Pets:
We are at PetSmart in the Conway Commons Shopping Center every Saturday from 1:00PM until 3:00PM with a good representation or our pets so people can see them. We also make special arrangements for private visitation times, as required, to suit prospective adopters schedules.
Our Adoption Process:
Adopter and dog must be able to socialize. Dog socialization means adjusting and accepting a new family without showing outward fear or aggression towards any family member. A $150.00 tax deductible donation fee is due and payable when the contract is signed for in state adoptions. Each Dog is Returnable within 14 days with $50.00 admin fee retained. Out of state adoptions require references from your Veterinarian and a close friend or family member. Fees for out of state adoptions vary according to transportation costs and dogs are returnable within 14 days. However, the adopter must pay the return transport costs. Adopters must have a fenced yard or secure play area for the dog. Puppies adoption fee is $50.00 and it is the responsibility of the adopter to have the dog spay/neutered and have the age appropriate immunizations done, as determined by their Veterinarian. In this case the Vet must send proof of such Spay/Neuter and immunizations to New Hope Cattle and Herding Dogs of AR at the address on the contract.
