About Our Rescue Group

Rescue Me is located in Ky and helps rural shelters in the south by taking in family friendly Labradors and their labby friends who find themselves in high kill shelters. Some are neglected and abused and some have medical problems. We give the pet a home environment and medical care. If we have no space available, we will board them. We work on house manners and socializing. Labradors are America's favorite dog breed based on personality and a gentle nature towards children. Rescue me works with many rescue groups and some of the pets may be with our rescue friends in the NE.

Our Rescue is located in Ky. Most of our puppies and dogs are still in rescue waiting for a home to call their own.
We do have fosters in the NE area and a few dogs and pups may be in foster care or with other NE area Rescues.

Our Adoption Process

Please fill out the application on our website at www.RescueMeLabradors.org
The adoption fee is $250.00 unless otherwise stated on the profile of the pet.
There is a transport fee of $135.00 paid to the transport service upon arrival of the new pet.
We transport our adopted pets to the Northeast to their new homes via Rescue Riders Transport.
All animals are up to date on vaccines and altered if old enough. If not, a spay and neuter contract will apply. All pets 6 months and older are heart worm tested and on a preventive like heart guard. Pets are wormed with Drontal and we use front-line and revolution for flea preventive. Pets travel with a health certificate and all health records.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
