About Our Rescue Group
We are a 501C3 non-profit corporation who does dog rescue. We rescue and adopt out over 100 dogs/yr. We get dogs mostly from shelters in the area. We love dogs and got into this because we were "foster dropouts" ourselves. We pick the dogs up from the shelters, insure they get all the medical treatment they need, care for them and find them a foster home until we can get them adopted. We take some to a local Petsmart on Sundays for adoptions. We advertise in local paper and on petfinders and wherever possible to help our pets find permanent, loving homes.
Come Meet our Pets
People can call us and we can arrange to bring the dog to their house for a visit or arrange for them to come to the foster's home to see the dog. People also can see some of the dogs at the petsmart at 635 and MacArthur in Las Colinas, Tx.
Our Adoption Process
first we talk to the people and have them fill out an adoption application. We have them come see the dog (unless they saw him/her at Petsmart). We do a home visit and check references and vets. We have an adoption fee which varies depending on what we had to spend on the animal. We take the dog to them and have a trainer work with them if needed. they must fill out an adoption contract and agree to keep the dog current on all shots, etc..and not sell or give the dog away. the dog is spay/neutered before adoption if possible or required to be within 30 days.
Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group. |
