Big Paw Big Heart K9 Rescue
About Our Rescue Group
We are a small K9 rescue. Our goal is to rescue one dog at a time. Our dogs are rescued from euthenasia, neglect, abandonment, etc. We ensure that each dog that is rescued is nuetered/ spayed, and has all vaccines. We get to know the canine and their temperment towards humans, kitties and other dogs. We then place the dog in the best possible hone for both the dog and the adoptive family.
Come Meet our Pets
We volunteer with K9Ohana Rescue as well as with Hope Rescue. We here at Big Paw Big Heart usually do not have enough dogs to organize an adoption event, but we do help out with others events. As we find out dates for those events, they will be listed here.
Our Adoption Process
Our fee for each furry friend varies. We are a very small rescue and the fees are considerably less than other rescues because we only have 1-2 dogs at a time to care for. The fee includes the vet expenses and any other expense that during the stay of the dog at the rescue. Our adoption policy is as follows; a contract application is filled out, checked, and either accepted or denied. A meet & greet is scheduled to give your family and the potential new family member (dog) a chance to introduce yourselves to each other. If this goes well, a home check is the scheduled. A member of the Big Paw Big Heart Rescue will schedule a home visit to ensure that the home is safe for the arrival of your new 4 legged family member.
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and
you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog
or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes.
Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they
think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from
a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage
people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA,
humane society or pet rescue group.
