Saving One Canine Rescue
About Our Rescue Group
We are a foster home based group working to place dogs from rural kill shelters in Kentucky. We also work to educate the public on the importance of altering their pets to reduce overpopulation including offering transport for pets to local low cost spay/neuter clinics. We also work to educate local shelters about available rescue resources as an alternative to euthanizing animals in shelters.
Come Meet our Pets
Our dogs are fostered in private homes and are available to visit by appointment only. Please contact us for an appointment. We require that an adoption application be completed with references checked before a meeting can be scheduled with our foster dogs.
Our Adoption Process
Our adoption process includes an adoption application, reference checks and home visit required. Adoption fee (ranging from $150 to $300) is required as well as an adoption contract. Animals too young to spay/neuter before adoption must have deposit of $50 which will be returned upon proof of spay/neuter.
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and
you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog
or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes.
Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they
think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from
a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage
people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA,
humane society or pet rescue group.
