Forgotten Pet Rescue
About Our Rescue Group
Forgotten Pet Rescue is a small rescue group. We are foster based and ran by volunteers. We rescue in memory of all the forgotten pets in America and across the world.
Come Meet our Pets
As we are foster based, you must first inquire about any one pet in our care and fill out a application. Once approved and vet check cleared, we set up a home visit and a meeting time with that pets foster parent.

All of our foster parents are volunteers and we all have kids, pets and jobs of our own. Please be patient in the process, we want to find wonderful loving new homes for our rescue pets as much as you want to adopt!

Our Adoption Process
When inquiring about any pet with Forgotten Pet Rescue, you will receive a application to fill out. The application must be completed to be consider for adoption and must include your current and past veterinary names.

Once your application is approved and the vet check is complete, we do ask to do a home visit. As we are volunteer based, we have started to do virtual/digital home visits for the convenience of both adopters and our volunteers.

Dogs, puppies, cats and kittens all come up to date on age appropriate vaccines and are spayed/neutered before leaving the care of their foster parent with Forgotten Pet Rescue.

You MUST be over 21 years of age to adopt from Forgotten Pet Rescue. We do require a valid State photo ID and any current dog(s) to be licensed with your governing county.

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder? When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
