About Our Rescue Group:

Cincinnati Cats is not a shelter, but a group of individuals who rescue and care for abandoned, stray and feral cats from our homes. For more information on Cincinnati Cats, please visit the Cincinnati Cats homepage at www.cincinnati-cats.org.

Cincinnati Cats Inc. is an all volunteer 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to helping cats and helping those individuals who help cats.

Our Adoption Process:

All adoptions require the approval of an application, interview of the prospective adopting family, an adoption fee and signed contract. While this may seem extreme to some people wishing to adopt a cat, please realize that our rescuers have invested a lot of time and hundreds of dollars in preparing the cat for adoption. Their rescue efforts are a labor of love and every effort is made to see that there will be a good match for both the cat and the person or family adopting it.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
