About Our
Rescue
Group:
At M.A.R.S. we refer to ourselves as a no fault rescue. In essence this means that although you choose a bird and the match might appear to be made in heaven, if at any time this is not the case, you can try again with another bird from our rescue. At times unforseen things can happen to effect the happiness of both adopter and avian. It is our job to make sure you understand that there is a bird that will work for you, even if we didn't get it right the first time around. Hence our no fault policy.
Come Meet our Pets:
Normal hours of operation are Monday Wednesday Friday and Saturday. Saturday still being our designated adoption day. M.A.R.S. is subject to changes in the regular schedule due to special events and bad weather. Please check with us via phone for any updates, or e-mail marsparrots@aol.com. Thank-you and we look forward to your visits.
Our Adoption Process:
All adoption info is located under forms on our official web site www.marsparrots.org. Please contact us through this site using our contact form. Or if necessary e-mail directly to marsparrots@aol.com. Thank-you for viewing.
birds can make wonderful pets, and rather than buying a bird for sale or finding a bird breeder, adopting a bird from
an animal shelter or rescue organization is the perfect way to add a bird to your family.
Keep in mind, there is a lot you will need to know when you provide a home for
a bird. You will need to learn what to feed them, how much exercise or
attention your bird needs, and many other important things about how to
house and care for a bird. There are different types of birds
including African Grey, Amazon, Brotogeris, Budgie, Button Quail, Caique, Canary, Chicken, Cockatiel, Cockatoo, Conure, Dove, Duck, Eclectus, Emu, Finch, Goose, Guinea Fowl, Kakariki, Lorikeet, Lovebird, Macaw, Mynah, Ostrich, Parakeet - Other, Parakeet - Quaker, Parrot - Other, Parrotlet, Peacock, Pheasant, Pigeon, Pionus, Poicephalus (including Senegal and Meyer's), Quail, Rhea, Ringneck, Rosella, Softbill - Other, Swan, Toucan, and Turkey.
Pet adoption saves lives. Adopt a pet and you'll have a friend for life! Please consider a rescue pet before you buy a pet from a breeder or pet store. Contact us, or contact another local humane society, animal shelter or SPCA.
