Found Chicago, NFP is a no-kill, all-breed rescue that serves to rescue, rehabilitate and re-home the most medically and behaviorally challenged dogs that would otherwise be euthanized. We resolve to meet the specific needs of each dog through individualized care and carefully constructed rehabilitation programs. We work to enhance the human-dog relationship through continued support for adopters throughout the lifetime of our dogs, community outreach programs and corporate partnerships.Our Adoption Process:
Adoption Process:-Email us at adopt@foundchicago.org or call us at 773-539-3880 to set up a meet and greet with the dog you are interested in adopting.
-There is an adoption application process as well. The form can be completed at any time prior to the adoption. You can find this form on our website at http://foundchicago.org/adopt/
-Based on successful completion of your application and scheduled meeting, you will be approved to adopt an animal based on your needs and the needs of the animal.
You must bring the following to your appointment:
-A current, valid, government-issued photo ID.
-If you rent, you must provide your landlord’s name and phone number as well as a copy of your lease stating you are allowed to have a dog in your apartment or house.
-Any other members of your family or pets who live with you (dogs and cats).
You must meet the following requirements:
-Be 21 years of age or older.
-Be able and willing to spend the time and money necessary to provide proper care for the animal.
-Adoption fee is $250.00. Included in the adoption fee is all vaccinations, spay or neuter, heartworm tested, and micro chipped.
