Xolo Rescue League
About Our Rescue Group
The Xolo Rescue League is a joint effort between volunteers. PLEASE NOTE!!!! We have no location and are listed in Alberta,Can. because I am the site manager and this is where I live. Our dogs, when we have them, will be located all over North America and shipping will be available, however due to regulations we cannot adopt to Hawaii or outside of North America. We also rescue Chinese Cresteds, American Hairless Terriers, Peruvian Inca Orchids and hairless mixes thereof.
Our Adoption Process
Our adoption procedures are fairly standard. There is an adoption form, contract and a home check. All dogs are health checked, vaccinated, chipped and altered prior to placement. The adoption fee is 325.00 usd. Please note that the dogs are almost always along way away from where you live and crate purchase and shipping will be charged as well, usually around 250.00 usd for a Mini- standards would be more and toys less. Because of the rarity of the breed and the full North American locales, we ship. Please be advised that a Xolo is a primitive breed and they are aloof with strangers but bond to their owners very strongly. Breed experience is not a must but breed knowledge is!! Please research or email us for information on the breed and a pre adoption application. Xolos are a guard breed and possessive, they are not a match for everyone! We never work on a first come, first serve basis- all homes are matched with the right family for each dog! WE DO NOT ADOPT ANY DOGS TO HOMES WITH CHILDREN UNDER 5 BUT HOMES WITH CHILDREN BETWEEN 5 AND 10 WILL BE CONSIDERED DEPENDING ON THE DOG. WE DO NOT ENDORSE OR APPROVE OF UGLY DOG CONTESTS!!!
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and
you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog
or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes.
Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they
think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from
a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage
people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA,
humane society or pet rescue group.
