Smitten With Kittens primarily adopts and fosters in the Broward and Miami Dade County areas. But sometimes for the right home, adoptions are done outside of this area.

SWK is primarily a foster based rescue group, but there are two adoption centers, with a 3rd soon to come!

About Our Rescue Group:

Smitten With Kittens is an all volunteer, no kill 501(c)3 non-profit cat and kitten rescue and foster network that operates in South Florida. We are dedicated to helping as many kittens as possible find permanent, loving homes. Because we are not a shelter, we are limited to the number of felines we can assist. But with your help, we hope to increase that number. Please consider volunteering with us or becoming a foster home, or adopt one of our sweet kittens. Together, we can help many more homeless cats and kittens.

Through education, spay/neuter and responsible rescue, we look forward to reducing the number of cats abandoned in high volume shelters, abused or in need of medical or behavioral rehabilitation. SWK believes that every cat and kitten deserves to live in safety and peace. We hope that one day all felines will have the love and care necessary to thrive. Until that time, we will work on their behalf to create the kind of world that protects and values the animals we share it with and increase awareness of the care, training and medical treatment necessary to possess a pet.

Our Adoption Process:

The Smitten With Kittens adoption process is simple. Simply go onto the website http://www.smittenwithkittens.net and download the application. Fill it out, email/fax it to us. The SWK team will review it and contact you.

Upon approval, adoption deposit is required should the kitten not be quite ready to go. At pick up, the balance of the adoption fee is paid. If the kitten is at one of our adoption centers ready to go, the potential adopter completes application and review is done on-site. Upon approval, the adopter signs the contract (drivers license or picture ID and proof of residence required) and the kitten goes to it's forever home.

Our adoption fees start at $75 for a single kitten under 4 months of age (two kittens at $125). Some breed exclusions apply. Kittens and cats older than 4 months are $40. The fees cover spay/neuter, vaccinations, FIV/FeLV testing and deworming.
