Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:

I serve Jackson County, Arkansas, mainly Newport, AR.

About Our Rescue Group:

I am a retired school teacher. I volunteer for a shelter that cannot take in cats. So, I decided to help the cats. My rescue is not affiliated with the other shelter. My home is my "cat rescue". I have divided it into nursery, weaned babies, "teenagers", adults and quarantine areas. There are no cages. I vaccinate, medicate, spay, neuter and find homes for them. I do not charge but ask for a donation. I do not euthanize unless the animal is too ill to help. The vet helps me with that decision. The only "income" I have is from donations, the rest comes out of my pocket. I do not check for FeV, FIP or FeLV because the tests are unreliable and expensive. I currently have 15 cats and kittens, but have had up to 27. Please put me out of business and spay/neuter your pets!

Come Meet our Pets:

My rescue hours are by appointment. Please call or email for information.

Our Adoption Process:

Fees: There is no charge for the cats. but a donation would be appreciated. It can cost up to $100 for each cat/kitten. I have a qualification form you will need to fill out and will contact your references. Most of these animals have had a rough start in life and I would like for them to be happy and safe for the next 15 or so years. If you qualify, you will fill out an adoption form. It will contain the medical information your vet will need to make sure your pet has had everything it needs and if and when it needs more vaccinations. If you call, please leave a message. Speak clearly, especially when saying you name and phone number. It takes time to return calls, please be patient!

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a cat or kitten versus getting cats for sale or kittens for sale from a cat breeder? When someone is breeding kittens, they are creating new cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of cat or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a cat for sale from a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with cats who must find homes. So rather than buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a cat or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
