Areas Evidence of Love Animal Care serves

Evidence of Love Animal Care is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to creating happiness in evidence animals living in city and county animal shelters by placing them with loving forever families. Evidence animals are a special group of animals that tend to get overlooked by the general public because they are not easily adoptable due to their legal situation. With the limited resources and finances that most animal shelters have, most evidence animals are impounded in their kennels with very little exercise, socialization and human affection over a prolonged period of time.

Our primary goal is to get evidence dogs and cats out of the shelter environment and placed in a permanent or foster home as soon as possible. We accomplish this by providing adoption and foster services, shelter support services and creating community awareness of these animals.

Whatever the circumstance involved with each evidence animal, we provide what is needed by the animal and shelter agency. This may include providing medical treatment, walking and socialization activities while being impounded at the shelter, special food, supplies and any other special needs the animals may have.

Additional adoption info

It is very important to us that our adoption families are appropriately matched with animals that fit their lifestyle and personalities.

Prior to adoption, we require a home safety check with an EOL member, a completed adoption application and agreement.

We ask for an adoption donation of $100 for each adult dog, $300 for puppies and $125 for cats and kittens. All our animals are neutered/spayed, vaccinated, vetted, house-trained, crate-trained/litter pan trained and socialized. All our animals are in foster homes and so our foster parents get to know their animals well. Our foster parents can usually even answer the most detailed questions about the animals they are fostering.

WHAT WE DO......
Evidence of Love Animal Care is a 501(c)(3) non-profit animal welfare organization dedicated to creating happiness in evidence animals living in city and county animal shelters by placing them with their forever families. Most believe that all animals located at the animal shelters are available for adoption. This is not always the case. Evidence animals are a special group of animals that the shelter agencies handle with special treatment and usually are not allowed to be placed for adoption by the general public until the legal proceedings involving the evidence animals has been fully resolved. We work with various city and county animal care and control agencies to provide services for adoption, fostering, socialization and any other services that may be required to support the evidence animals and their shelter agencies. Our goal is to give evidence animals the best life possible while at the animal shelter and with the eventual placement in a loving permanent home.

Evidence of Love Animal Care is dedicated to rescuing these animals and supporting them in any way possible to have the best life during their most difficult times in their life until their eventual adoption into a permanent home. We have rescued, rehabilitated and adopted out many dogs and cats that were impounded at the various City and County animal shelters throughout Southern California. In addition, we have also rescued many other dogs and cats that were at risk of being euthanized at the animal shelters, abandoned by their owners and homeless strays.

Adopt a Pet is the easiest way for you to search for a new pet in Sherman Oaks, CA.

Support adoption and rescue. Why go to a dog breeder, cat breeder or pet store to buy a dog or buy a cat when you can adopt?

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life.

What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?

When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.

So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
