We adopt to all of the Midwestern States. The state abbreviation next to the dog's name indicates what state the dog is being fostered in. We do have a transport team that will assist in relocating a dog, so feel free to fill out an adoption application for ANY one of our available dogs.

About Our Rescue Group:

Midwest Shiba Inu Rescue (MSIR) is a non-profit, all-volunteer corporation.

MSIR seeks out, fosters, and places homeless Shiba Inu dogs into carefully screened, lifelong, and nurturing homes. In addition to rescue, MSIR volunteers provide medical care and/or rehabilitation for foster dogs and then attempt to match them with appropriate, permanent homes.

If you are interested in one of our dogs please go to our website, www.shibarescue.org and fill out our adoption contract. All applicants are subject to a reference check and home visit.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
