We work with local shelters in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex. We will take surrenders directly to us and work with saving owner surrenders from local shelters.

About Our Rescue Group:

Doggie's Wonderland: K-9 Rescue envisions a future where local animal care organizations, veterinarians and adopters work together to create a central location for adoptions, pet care education, training and medical care. Our aim is to reduce the number of surrenders and euthanasias in area shelters.

Doggie's Wonderland: K-9 Rescue is open the same hours that Doggie's Wonderland - Plano and Coppell is open.

Our Adoption Process:

Adoption Process

All dogs that are rescued by Doggie's Wonderland K-9 Rescue are carefully checked and screened to ensure a cheerful, playful personality. Our adoption rates go entirely towards feeding, sheltering and getting our puppies up to a strong standard of health. When you come in to adopt your puppy, all immediate needs will have been taken care of for you.

Adoption rate for dogs 6 months and older: $175
Adoption rate for puppies 6 months and younger - $225
Adoption rates include:
•Spayed/Neutered (if at appropriate age)
•Heartworm check

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
