Central Arkansas Refuge for Dogs has been approved as the local dog rescue site of the Paron Community Center in Paron, AR (a 501c3 organization). Paron is a small, remote rural community west of Little Rock, AR, where dogs are routinely abandoned. The Refuge believes dogs deserve better. They are not property. They are beings. During the last few years, we have found good homes for dozens of abandoned dogs. Dogs at the refuge are not caged but congregate in large yards. They have an indoor home life where they learn house-training and crating for bedtime. All dogs receive excellent medical care and monthly flea/tick and heartworm preventives. If old enough, dogs are spayed/neutered prior to leaving the refuge facility. Adoption fees help to defray some of the costs of care.Come Meet our Pets:
Pets can be interviewed either at the refuge site in Paron, AR or at an agreed-upon location, by appointment only.Our Adoption Process:
