We work to find the best possible fitting homes for each and every dog that is entrustred to us.
SusieQ Dog ResQ was previously named Another Chance Rescue Ranch but due to some confusion after another group chose to use a similar name we have decided to end the confusion by changing our name. We are still the same group of people with the same mission to rescue needy and unwanted dogs and keep them in our home until a home of their own can be found. I started my non profit venture following my volunteering in the rescue of animals in New Orleans after hurricane Katrina. It was then that I knew I wanted to focus on this full time. I do know that one person doing their part, no matter how large or small, can make a difference.I have met so many gracious, deserving pets over the years and try to give back the love and trust they put in me by giving them a better life than where they came from and another chance to find a forever home. I have met many dedicated people from all over the U.S. doing what they can to improve the lives of many formerly unwanted pets. I have fallen in love with my FOSTER FURRIES over the years and although it is always hard to let them go, just thinking of the next one needing to be saved helps me continue. I do this in my own home where I get to know each and every one of them very well and can make the best matches into new families. They all stay in my home and become part of the "pack" until their own family can be found. I do this with the help of my husband, Ray, who is a retired Firefighter. We recieved our 501c3 non-profit status in 2007 so donations are tax deductible. Donations are needed to help with the vet bills and to keep my rescue going. We are volunteers so every dollar goes into caring for the animals.
Come Meet our Pets:
Our dogs are generally met in my home after an application has been reviewed and a vet reference has been done.
Our Adoption Process:
Adoption Contract required before we make any appointments to meet the dogs. Adoption fees vary but range from $150.00 to $250.00. Senior to Senior adoptions are half price.. All adult dogs are spayed or neutered before adoption and a spay/neuter deposit is required on all puppies.
Dog adoption and cat
adoption saves lives. Adopt
a dog or adopt a cat and you'll
have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog, adopting
a cat, adopting a kitten or adopting a puppy versus getting dogs for sale, cats
for sale, puppies for sale or kittens for sale from a dog breeder or a cat breeder?
When someone is breeding puppies or breeding kittens, they are creating new dogs
and cats who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of
dog, cat, puppy or kitten and they think the only way to find that specific breed
is to buy a dog for sale or buy a cat for sale from a puppy breeder or a kitten
breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs and cats who must find homes.
So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder or buying a cat
or kitten for sale from a cat breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog, adopt
a cat, adopt a puppy or adopt a kitten at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane
society or pet rescue group.
