Pets at Our Rescue Group:
Cities, Towns, and/or Counties We Serve:Wagging Hearts is a 100% foster-based, non-for-profit rescue organization. Our mission is to rescue abandoned, neglected, and stray companion animals, work to secure a better life for them in loving homes, and provide a lifetime of support to animals that remain in our care. We are an all-volunteer animal rescue organization that believes all lives are worth saving and vow to provide our animals with the love they need to blossom into all they can and should be.
About Our Rescue Group:We are dedicated to rescuing abandoned, neglected, and stray companion animals whose lives are in jeopardy. Holding to the truest no-kill philosophy, we believe that every cat and dog should have the right to live as long as their quality of life allows. We are dedicated to finding loving homes for companion animals, and work to provide support for those animals that may have special needs. We invite you to learn more about us and help us to make a difference in the lives of animals in need. Come Meet our Pets:We hold adoption events at the Petco in Round Lake Beach, IL. (436 E Rollins Rd, Round Lake Beach, Illinois 60073) We ask that adopters review our list of rescue animals, fill out an adoption application ahead of time so that we can attempt to connect a family with forever love the day of the event. Check on our website at www.wagginghearts.org for the next adoption event!!
Our Adoption Process:We require all potential adopters to fill out an adoption application which is then reviewed and verified. A home visit is scheduled with adopter upon approval. Once home visit is confirmed and completed, an adoption counselor will then finalize the adoption paperwork. We will do a 7-14 day phone follow up to ensure all animals are adjusting well and to answer any questions the new adoptive parents may have as well as a 30 day home visit to ensure everything is going well with the adoptive family and adopted animal.
