Recycled Ruffs Chihuahua Rescue is for the state of Colorado. RRCR is in Fort Collins, CO. We have been established since Dec. 2010 and have our 501(c)3-non profit license.

About Our Rescue Group:

RRCR is a foster based Colorado Chihuahua rescue that was started in Dec. 2010, because of a deep love and understanding of the Chihuahua breed. We truely believe that they are a very special and unique breed.
We socialize, train and rehab every chihuahua that comes in. Every dog is different in how they respond to the help that we provide, so please do not think that you will be receiving a perfect dog. There are no perfect dogs, you must put in a lot of time and patience to achieve your ideal pet. With that being said we are hoping to attract open-minded, compassionate, dog loving adopters. RRCR takes in a lot of Chihuahua mixes, because there are a lot in the shelters. We will also be available for the life time of your pet for training needs.

Our Adoption Process:

We do home checks, vet reference checks and ensure that the dogs of the potential adopter and our dog from the rescue get along. We have a detailed adoption contract and agreement. Our adoption fees are: $200 for adults (1yr+) $250 for puppies (under 1yr) and we give a senior discount for adopters over the age of 65 at $100. Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
