About Our Rescue Group:

Right Start Rescue is dedicated to starting mixed breed puppies off on the right paw. We aspire to minimize the amount of homeless dogs by reducing accidental litters, educating the public about the responsibility and commitment involved in dog ownership, and placing puppies in forever homes the first time around. We support mandatory spay and neuter laws, but oppose euthanasia as a form of population control. We believe all puppies and dogs deserve an equal chance at life whether their origin is unknown, or neatly documented on a piece of paper.

Come Meet our Pets:

We do not have a shelter, all of our dogs are in loving foster homes. The upside to this is we will be able to tell you all we have learned from him/her about their personality. Please call to make an appt to meet with the pet your interested in.

Our Adoption Process:

The adoption process is as follows:
*Adoption Application- we will then review the application, as long as all is approved we will set up a time for you to meet with the dog (if you have not already)
*Adoption Contract- we need you to sign that you realise that this pet is can live approx up to 14 yrs of age and you are willing to care for him/her.
*The pet will be spayed/neutered if not already done so before going to its new home.

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
