About Our Rescue Group...

We are a private, all breed rescue organization that is a 501c3 Non-Profit Organization. Your donation is tax deductible.

We also offer a MA State approved Isolation Room for out of state animals to fulfill the MA state required 48 hour hold to rule out communicable disease. This service allows us to rescue out of state animals. Please visit the following link for more information:

All animals enter with a health certificate and are examined post hold by our vet and receive an updated health certificate before being rehomed.

Scargo Wags and Wiggles Rescue's goal is to prevent the senseless euthanization of dogs and to find them permanent, loving homes with responsible owners. We live with these pets. "MEET AND GREETS" ARE SCHEDULED BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Meetings can be scheduled easily. Call (508-400-0222) or email
Sylvia@ScargoWagsandWiggles.com to request an application. After your application is submitted, we will call you to schedule an appointment as we operate by appointment only. Applications are reviewed and references are checked before meetings are scheduled. This is the first part of the required screeing process and in no way obligates you to adopt.

******ALL MEETINGS ARE HELD OUTSIDE. PLEASE DRESS APPROPRIATELY FOR THE WEATHER. PLEASE WEAR CLOSED-TOE SHOES, ESPECIALLY CHILDREN.

******THERE ARE NO PUBLIC RESTROOMS ON SITE.

Our Adoption Process:

1. Application Approval
***APPLICATIONS MUST BE SUBMITTED FOR APPROVAL BEFORE A MEETING IS SCHEDULED.
2. Reference Check
3. It takes approximately 12 to 24 hrs to process references and complete a background check. You will be scheduled for a meet and greet accordingly.

4. Veterinarian Check
5. Adoption Donation--Tax Deductible
6. Must be at least 25 years old to adopt
7. Homeowner strongly preferred

Why should you adopt?

Dog adoption and cat adoption saves lives. Adopt a dog or adopt a cat and you'll have a friend for life! What is the difference between adopting a dog or puppy versus getting dogs for sale or puppies for sale from a dog breeder? When someone is breeding puppies, they are creating new dogs who need homes. Some people are interested in a very specific breed of dog or puppy and they think the only way to find that specific breed is to buy a dog for sale from a puppy breeder. Yet animal shelters are filled with dogs who must find homes. So rather than buying a dog or puppy for sale from a dog breeder, we encourage people to adopt a dog or adopt a puppy at their local animal shelter, SPCA, humane society or pet rescue group.
